[DEEPER INTERPRETATION]It is a warm summer day. An old woman and her great granddaughter enjoy the elder woman's garden. The woman shares her wisdom of her years with the attentive young girl and, in turn, gets to see the world of wonder through her younger eyes.
The garden is lush with yellow roses for friendship, clematis for mental beauty, hydrangeas for perseverance, and geraniums for comfort. A large pine tree, a link between the earth and heavens, adds its distinctive fragrance to the scent of the flowers. Fluttering butterflies offer their gift of transformation and hummingbirds swoop around, attracted to the sweet nectar of the flowers. They bring joy, magic and serendipity through their magical attributes of enchantment and love. They represent courage, flexibility, and determination.
The joy the two of them experience is the magic of mentorship. As the girl places roses on the old woman's lap, the feelings of love and admiration are shared. Mentorship is a mutual gift. Mentor a child.
